Two book fairs are held at the school – one shortly before winter recess and the other before summer break. The teachers bring their students during the day, and the fairs are open before and after school for families to shop together.
This event earns Scholastic dollars for our school that can be used for purchasing books to enhance our classrooms and library.

Each year we ask for your support so that we may provide additional ways to enrich your child’s educational experience: student enrichment programs (such as the Whitney Museum art program, Learning-by-Design architecture classes, Take Two film production classes and the Steady Buckets basketball program), professional development for our children’s teachers, books for our classroom libraries and classroom supplies, to name a few. No donation is too small, and each one is greatly appreciated. Our PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, making your donations tax-deductible and eligible for corporate matching. Your support today has a tremendous impact on what we can do together.
Families come together to celebrate the fall season with autumn-inspired arts and crafts, food and a dance party.

Apparel & Accessories
Show your school pride! The PTA sells fashionable PS 340 gear for every member of your family, including tee-shirts, sweatshirts and tote bags.
Apparel and accessories will be sold during school events such as Fall Fest, Movie Nights & Book Fair. Our goal is to make apparel and accessories available to purchase online with the time and support of the parent body. More information on will follow once more details become available.
Let’s go out to dinner and see a movie. Held in the school’s auditorium, parents and students come for pizza, popcorn and much more.

Every year, the PTA hires a professional photography company to take class and individual student pictures. A make-up date is always scheduled for those children who were absent.

New York International Children's Film Festival
This film festival takes place during the month of March at venues across New York City. Enjoy a great movie with your children and earn money for our school. Our PTA earns $3 of each ticket that you purchase! [http://nyicff.org]
Join parents and teachers for athletic classes such as spin and yoga for PS 340. These classes are for adults only (no children, please!), and space is typically limited. Announcements and sign-up forms will be made available once confirmed.
The donation recommendations for this event will be shared in advance.

Spring Gala & Auction
Held in the spring, it is the biggest event of the school year! It is an adults-only evening, so get a sitter and enjoy a night out with friends, food, and cocktails, all while supporting our school.
